About Us
EmojiBase is an independent emoji reference for writers, designers and developers who need to look up an emoji quickly and copy it in the right format.
What you will find here
Every emoji is listed with its official name, keywords, skin tone variants, Unicode code points, the Emoji version it was added in, and copy-ready formats. Entries are grouped with the same categories Unicode uses, and can be browsed by category, keyword or search.
Where the data comes from
Names, keywords, categories and version information are compiled from Unicode CLDR and the open-source emojibase project. Preview artwork comes from Google Noto Color Emoji. The emoji characters themselves are defined by the Unicode Consortium.
How the site is maintained
EmojiBase is run as an independent project. The data set is refreshed when a new Emoji version is published, and entries are reviewed for accuracy. Continuous availability is not guaranteed — the site may change or go offline at any time.
